Let the Holidays Begin

Thanksgiving this year was a lot of fun! We had over some friends and between all of us there was quite a feast. Yes, it was a little different being able to walk outside with no shoes on or not having to wear a coat, or maybe it was when we cranked our air down to 73 degrees to make it a nice cool temperture for our guest!
Here are the guys cutting the turkey and the ham!

All the kiddos.
Notice maisey with her shirt off. I put M&M's on the table and she kept wanting to eat them. I explained that once her friends came over she could have them. She was really good not climb up on the table, but maybe once or twice. As soon as the friends arrived, and she had a plate full of potatoes and gravy. She took off across the table getting her shirt very dirty!
Maisey has a boyfriend... his name is Crew.
She'll give him kisses and hugs.
And he'll return the favor...by smelling her armpit!

Thankgiving 2010 Crew!Maisey insisted I get in the bucket with her. She was then upset cause she couldn't fit in it as well. Maybe it's because that plate of food was 3rds for me!
Happy Thanksgiving!!

3rd Street
We went down to 3rd street to get in the holiday spirit. Right off the bat we saw this pony. We knew that Maisey would want to ride, she loved it! After she got off she went over to a pony not being used, held out her hands and said "Apples!"
Walking down the street they had snow flying out of machines. Of course it wasn 't real snow it was actually foamy bubbles. Maisey loved it none the less. I can't wait for her to see real snow in Utah!

Pure Joy
Family Picture in the snow!
Family picture by the creepy Santa Claus

More family pics, look at how Jason's head is positioned perfected between Maisey's ballon antlers. ( She's suppose to be rudolph )

All her friends watching the Nativity!

Last of All
I took Maisey to her first show in the theater. I tried to make it extra special by buying her an over-priced kids tray for $6.00. She sat her seat like a champ, grabbing popcorn then a sip of her sprite then back to her popcorn. She was amazed! She sat on my lap the rest of the movie. I wish I could have snapped a picture, she looked so grown up. It kind of made me sad.

Project: Kitchen Table

Once we moved into our new place our kitchen had extra space that I didn't know what to do with, I wanted a small table so we could put our other table in the dining room. This way we didn't have to carry all the food from the kitchen to the dining room. So I went searching on Craigslist and found this beauty for only $40.00. It was pretty ugly, but I saw potential. The chairs were a greenish color and they had wood seats and the table top desperately needed some work. I didn't take any before pictures because I wasn't going to blog about it. Here his the final outcome!

Tabletop I love the mixed look in the wood.
My chair cushion. I had some extra fabric lying around that I had bought over 2 years ago that I had dreamed of making kitchen curtains out of.

Finished Chair

Ta Da the finished kitchen table. I am overall really happy with how it turned out!

Halloween

Halloween started early this year and went for three days. Yep! three days. Jason and I had been invited to a Halloween party, but didn't know if we were going to go because Jason was going to go to Orlando to a CRNA Conference. Last minute he decided not to go up to Friday night, but to get up early Saturday and make the 3 hour drive. Which led us scrambling to find a costume with only couple hours till party time. Simple and oh so easy this is what we came up with... I'll let you do the guessing.

Maisey was our little monster. She loves the movie Monsters Inc. So when I saw this little monster costume it was a must have.
Mad cause I put her Monster head on.
Saturday Jason drove up to Orlando and Maise and I went to our ward Trunk-Or-Treat I didn't take any pictures. Sunday after dinner we headed down to the beach to watch the sunset. Its a pretty big deal out here for all the retired snowbirds. They sit in their chairs and as soon as the sun goes down they clap, pick up there chairs and go home.

Maisey couldn't resist getting as close to the water as she possible could. I love this picture I think she looks so pretty and full of life.

Of course Maisey won and we stripped her down to her diaper and let her enjoy the water at knee length.
Once we returned home we decided to go trick or treating to a couple of homes to see how Maisey would react, and to get a little sugar in our house! She was so stinking cute we pushed her in her car and used the hood of her car as her bag. She was a pro and knew exactly what to do. She would get out and each house and stand at the door grab some candy put it in her trunk. She'd then tell the people thank you and goodbye and sit in her car for the next home. Of course all the old people loved her. So each house was a 3 minute visit. It was fun to go trick or treating in shorts and a t-shirt and of course Maisey was probaly sweating, but she loved it!

Happy Halloween!
